Model Railroad BridgesThe [in progress] Inventory of Model StructuresThe bridges for the Birchardville Railroad are built up from Walthers Cornerstone plastic model kits, or Atlas N-Scale bridge structures. I also was inspired by an article in December 2003 Model Railroader to model one of our local landmarks, the Lackawanna Railroad's famous Tunkhannock Viaduct located about 40 minutes from home in Nicholson, Pennsylvania. At the time of this writing, I've completed the Tunkhannock Viaduct, the Walthers high trestle kit, and one of the Atlas bridges is in place. Works in progress include finishing the painting for the Tunkhannock Viaduct (adding weathering colors), a single track through trestle from Atlas, a dual track through trestle from Walthers, and the Walthers art deco highway bridge.
